Mithi Resort and Spa: The Dreamiest Destination for Big Events (and Active Escapes!)

I’ll be honest—sometimes the best travel discoveries happen when you’re not even looking for them. I recently headed to Bohol to attend the wedding of some schoolmates, and the moment I stepped into Mithi Resort and Spa, I realized I had been missing out on one of Panglao’s most beautiful gems.

If you’re looking for a spot that can handle a big event but still feels like a private paradise, this is a must-stay.

The Ultimate Venue for Big Events & Weddings

Mithi is famous for its Dream Islet—a private man-made islet connected to the resort where you can literally get married surrounded by 360-degree views of the turquoise ocean. Seeing my schoolmates say their vows there was absolutely magical.

Whether it's a massive reunion, a corporate retreat, or a wedding, they have the space (like the Verdant Pavilion and Garden Square) and the staff to make it feel seamless.

Stay Active: Tennis, Caves, and More

You guys know I can’t just sit on a lounge chair all day! One of the things that surprised me most about Mithi is how much there is to do within the 14-hectare grounds:

  • Tennis at its Best: For my fellow racket sport lovers, Mithi has two full-sized tennis courts (both a clay court and a hardcourt!). It’s the perfect way to start your morning before the Bohol sun gets too high.

  • The "Secret" Cambagat Cave: You don't even have to leave the resort to go cave exploring. Mithi has its own natural underground cave where you can take a dip in the cool, fresh water.

  • Half a Kilometer of Beach: The private white sand beach is massive, giving you plenty of space for morning runs or sunset strolls.

Walking Distance to Hinagdanan Cave

Location-wise, Mithi is situated in a quieter part of Panglao (Dauis), which I personally prefer. One of the best perks? It is literally walking distance to Hinagdanan Cave.

You can just walk out of the resort gates, stroll for about 5-8 minutes, and you’re at one of Bohol’s most famous natural landmarks. It makes for a perfect, easy morning adventure before heading back to the resort for a spa treatment.
